DAY-TO-DAY
David’s primary focus is overseeing pre-development, planning, permitting, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of development opportunities for industrial/logistics properties. He provides oversight on tenant/client-specific build-outs for build-to-suit projects. David’s leadership ensures that these projects are delivered on time and within budget.
BACKGROUND
With over three decades of construction and real estate development experience, David has built relationships at every level—from laborers and foremen to senior executives and CEOs, bridging gaps along the way. David has completed nearly 20 million square feet of industrial space across the United States and Mexico.
He earned a B.S. in Construction from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia (now Kennesaw State University), providing a strong foundation in technical expertise for site challenges. His first post-college job as a general contractor on industrial projects ultimately paved the way for a successful career in commercial and industrial development.
David’s UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE
“It’s often the seemingly impossible projects, completed on time and within budget, that stick with me. The greatest challenges always bring opportunities to find solutions. One such project was Core5’s SW 85, which required half the building to be operational within four months. To achieve this, we had to build strong relationships with the municipality while accelerating our efforts. In the end, the project strengthened Core5’s reputation in industrial development. It also reinforced a long-held belief: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).”
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE
David enjoys spending time with his sons and being involved in their scouting, baseball, and football activities. He volunteers as the Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 795 and serves as an assistant coach for both the baseball and football teams.
For relaxation, you can often find David working on home improvement projects, tending to the lawn, or unwinding at the lake. He and his family are active members of East Cobb Church of Christ and are dedicated to giving back. They support Georgia AGAPE (Child Adoptive Services) and SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood).
